The Kingfisher Ball is an established event in the Oldham social calendar that aims to raise money towards projects at the Kingfisher Special School – which is Oldham’s only school for children aged 4-11 with a range of severe and complex learning difficulties.

The Ball is being held at The White Hart, Lydgate on Saturday March 18 th with a Hollywood giltz and glamour theme. Now in its 11 th year, the event has raised over £80,000 for various projects at the school – such as an Interactive Arts Studio and Multi-Sensory- Learning-Environment.
However, we are facing our biggest challenge – we need to build a new hydrotherapy pool and are looking to raise £500,000 to achieve this. We are already well on the way and the Ball will be a key event in helping us towards this. We really need the help and support of the members of the Oldham Business 100 to raise as much money as possible at the Ball and there are a number of ways in which you can do this.
• Firstly there are still a few tables left for businesses to buy to attend on the night. In addition there are a small number of individual tickets still available.
• If you are unable to make the event, the key way in which we make money at the event is by the live auction and raffles. These will be hosted by Revolution Radio’s Elliott Eastwick and his aim will be to get the maximum he can for the items that are up for auction/raffle.
We really value those ‘money can’t buy prizes’ that guests will be prepared to pay big money for, however, whatever support you can give us and whatever the prize that you can donate will hugely help us raise money.
What do you get in return? Apart from the satisfaction of supporting the event, your company will be named in the event literature and marketing information. For 2017 we are looking to develop a Kingfisher Ball app – and if this is achievable then your support will feature in there and the app will be made available to you.
